last day of work
Oh, I guess I was supposed to have done the obligatory end of PA post. haha.. too tired la dei. bummed the whole of yesterday, shiok!
My last day at PWC was spent mostly doing clearance. Going up and down to the various departments to get their signatures to certify that we have returned all the files we borrowed, our security passes etc etc. All that in order to get our last paycheque of course. ;) There were not much more real work to be done, I only had my final 2 tax computations to finalise (before sending them off to the clients) and other than that we were very free. Spent half of the afternoon distributing chocolate eclairs to everyone in the department and taking lots of photos. I am still sad that I didnt get a photo with my coach cos she was busy conducting training for the new staff. oh wells...
While I can say that the past 10 weeks have been memorable indeed, there are certain things I'm glad to say goodbye to.. *for now at least*.. namely,
1) The morning rush hour crowd on the trains. *bleargh* This is what I hate most about going to work in town. Stinky sweaty people, lack of seats, and extremely rude ignorant fellow passengers.
- People who don't bother to move in to the center of the carriage which is relatively emptier when they can plainly see that people are struggling to board the train. Bloody hell la, you are not the only person who has to get to work on time.
- People who take up my private space, especially when they stand too close to me.
- People who edge me out of corners, all the while talking loudly and blind to the fact that hey, someone is already in that corner. (especially old aunties, ergh)
- People who hog the poles. eh, you're not the only one who needs to balance ok. Just put your palm there is enough la, don't need to lean your whole body against the pole right. There was this time when I really couldn't take it anymore. So when this lady leaned her whole body against the pole, with her whole arm and bag covering the pole, with no room left for me to rest my hands anywhere, I snapped. I said *excuse me* a couple of times but she pretended to not hear. So I tapped her on the shoulders and pointed to her arm and bag and gestured to the pole. Her whole face turned black for the rest of the journey.
Sorry, but lousy train rides just puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day.
2) Eating lunch at 12 everyday. I tend to eat more, cos I'm not exactly hungry at 12 but I still eat anyway cos everyone's going for lunch. But then I'll get hungry again abt 3 plus and starts snacking. This is something I'm glad to say goodbye to.
3) Not being able to watch my daily fix of Drake and Josh in the weekday afternoons. haha
4) Not being able to wake up as and when I like. Ergh, 630 is just wayyyy too early to wake up to on an everyday basis. haha Thought I'd kill the *getting to school late* habit when I started work but I guess not. I reached work at around 840, earliest, if I'm lucky. Most of the time, it's around 850. haha.. Guess some things just don't change. *lol* (eh, but I did a LOT of work and was very efficient k. So I guess that sorta makes up for it. And I don't go for lunch on some days) eh but at least I dont come to work at lunchtime unlike some people right. haha.. *snorts at own joke* wahhaha..
Hmm.. that's about all I can think of right now.
Spent Friday night with my lovely girlfriends, Yani, Nyd and Elly, eating ayam penyet at Lucky Plaza. My verdict : it was way too spicy for me to enjoy. Even after mixing the sambal with the kicap, it was too spicy. Only for the strong-tongued.
Have loads of pictures to upload. Think I'll do them tonight.
56 more days before I board that plane. =)
