as spicy as tom yam
I had the bestest tom yam noodles yesterday. It was without a doubt, one of the most delicious tom yam I have ever tasted, EVER! haha.. I dunno, I kinda have this love-hate relationship with tom yam. It's like, if it's too spicy such that you cant even feel your tastebuds anymore, I don't like. But if it's too mild, I don't like it either. I don't like the ones they serve at most malay seafood restaurants. I need it to be spicy but not too spicy, and so addictive that you'll see me slurping up the soup til the very last drop. haha..
And I quite like the ones that we had at Bangkok last year. That was damn shiok la. Cos over there, they use santan (erm, milk?) and lots and lots of serai. Most malay shops in Singapore dont use santan in their tom yams. *boo* Especially on a cold cold cold day, woohoo the right tom yam will warm you right up. haha.. And yesterday I had dinner at Nana Thai (yes, again.. haha) with Nadz. Their tom yam noodles made me a very very happy girl. =) I soooo have to bring lotsa tom yam cubes with me when I go Manchester! woohoo~*
ok I cant believe I just spent 2 paragraphs talking about tom yam. haha..
Speaking of manchester, I can't believe it slipped my mind! I forgot to apply for the travel grant so that ntu can pay for my airfare! argh!!! Too caught up with work already.. *haiz* It totally blanked out from my mind until Suresh asked me during lunch just now. Argh!!! I wonder if they are willing to make a concession.
And that Suresh! He's not going Manchester anymore! He changed his application to hertfordshire (like where the heck is that sia?!) cos you can clear more (as compared to none in Manchester) modules over there. So now I dunno who I'm going with cos I havent contacted the rest who are going Manchester. what lah u, raise my hopes up only! haha.. and!!! I just found out today that suresh is an AC boy!! haha all along I thought he was from raffles. Oh well, ac.. raffles.. don't make much diff to me cos I'm from both~* =)
Results came out on Monday. Not as spectacular as last sem's and I would say that it was definitely better than my first year's results, alhamdulillah. BUT, I hate my grade for risk management. Ewwww i hate it hate it hate it. My lowest grade ever. Spoil my transcript only. Ergh. And I dont even get it, of all modules, WHY that one? when i did so well for the project and quiz throughout the sem. I know I didn't put in my best effort for that final paper, but I didn't think I'd screw it up that badly. =(
oh wells. haha..
Anyway, did you all notice it? It didn't cross my attention until monday night, but.. Rahimah Rahim (from SI2) left a comment on my tuesday, may 30th post! haha.. I really think I should do something about my comment box. No one ever notices them. (hence, the flooding on the tagboard) Ok but anyway, I was just like.. ooooh ok hmmm so she left a msg on my blog. hahaha.. a little surreal, I must say. haha.. Too many people I don't know are reading this blog. -_-
But anyway, she was not bad la in the show tonight. Thought she could do better, like show off her vocals more or something. The attitude is there la, but I feel like it wont appeal to many people though. But I think even if she doesnt get thru tmr, confirm the judges will send her to the wildcard round. Confirm! haha.. I still like Paul Twohill! haha.. yay Nadz we both go support him and smell pretty.. haha! =)
I need to start getting my butt to the gym again. pronto!
