How a terrible day turned out great..
Everything just seemed to not go my way today.
I was rushing out the essays for
INSTEP and the
DUO award this morning, so that I could get to school before law class to print them out and submit the forms. Ok, so no problem with that. Except that I then realised that they wanted
TWO copies of the exam results instead of one. So had to make another copy right?
The photocopying shop behind the FAL was closed la!
Out for lunch. grrr.
So had to walk ALL the way to the OTHER photocopying shop in S4, only to realise halfway that I needed to photocopy my passport too. Which was in my bag in the FAL. -_- So had to walk back to get it, before finally photocopying everything that I needed.
Thinking that I already had everything that I needed, I thought I might as well submit the forms straight away, and I'd still have about 45 mins to eat something for lunch before class.
Note that I did not have breakfast at all.Went to the NBS office, and gosh! there were
SO MANY people la! all applying for INSTEP. All having problems filling up the form. ended up meeting some friends that I knew and talking to others who were applying too. Finally, after waiting for about ten minutes or so, I got to the front of the queue. And the woman said I still needed Prof Marina Lee's signature for the course plans! Wah, why nobody tell me one?
Ok fine, went to call her up, and luckily she was in her office. Went up to her office, and there were a LOT of people there too! All getting their forms signed! haha.. By the time I got her signature, and submitted the forms, I barely had time to eat a proper lunch. So ended up just buying some epok-epok and fruit juice.
I had to go back to FAL cos I thought I could print the travel grant forms from there. But the site was down or something. No choice, so had to go for class already right? When suddenly, my cheapo
49 baht ($2) slippers from bangkok
broke!*wails* so sad k.. So I was dragging my right foot all the way down to the tutorial room, and just so happened I kept bumping into people I know la.
Walked into the tutorial room.. Note that I had my laptop in my hand, and I was also carrying my epok-epok AND the fruit juice in the other hand. When I entered the room, I sort of slipped and the juice came
FLYING out of my hand! wah I so wanted to die right then and there. haha! So there was fruit juice ALL over the floor. -_- I didnt even get a chance to take a sip from my fruit juice..
*sobs*This girl offered some tissue, and Darrell (haha, I will so not laugh at him again, I promise!) went to grab some toilet paper from the toilet to mop the mess up. I was so frazzled la. Borrowed Far's sandals to grab more toilet paper. In the end, I had no time to eat my epok-epok. haha.. After all that adventure, I felt really really tired and sleepy in law class.
Luckily Far drove me n xinyin to JP after that. At least, can just grab a cab from there straight home. (I figured they wont be selling $2 slippers in JP, so I thought taking a cab would be cheaper than buying new shoes) But! there was only ONE cab at the taxi stand! and he wanted to go Tampines! So I pleaded with the pakcik (uncle) to send me home, cos my slippers broke. and he did! hahaha.. I was so touched. So nice of him. Even gave me
thirty cents discount! =)
And then, later on, I had a great time at tuition. I love teaching this new girl. And she's so sweet! Cos to get to her house, I have to walk pass this hilly area with many many trees. It's by the main road la, not scary but she calls it the forest. So since I ended tuition around ten plus today right, she kept telling me to be careful and to take care. haha then when I was leaving, she was like *kak, later when u reach ur house, give me a miss call k.. make sure you're back* haha.. so sweet right? =)
