new year!

I'm supposed to be doing my AB214 assignment, as it's due in less than 12 hours time and I've not yet started. But just cant bring myself to do it. Guess I gotta rely on my good ol last minute magic to whip out something fantastic. haha as if.

Anyway, I've had a great past few days, which I haven't really blogged about!

I had an interesting New Year's Eve. Met up with the whole of my mom's side of the family for a late lunch/early dinner at Selera Bundo in the Arab Street area. It's been quite a while since we've all met up like that (I remember we used to do it more often in the past) and so it was great! The food was forgettable but the company was awesome. =) and the little kids' antics never fail to amuse me.

So we walked around the Arab Street area for a bit after that, and since we had a few cameras with us, we decided to act like tourists and take shots with the Sultan Mosque as the background. Like some tour group. Damn funny! haha..

Didn't really know where to go after that, cos the night was still pretty early, and nobody wanted to go home. So we ended up at the airport. The intention was to eat ice cream at Swensons. But looking at the queue, we all got turned off. Imagine trying to find a seat for 20 people!

So we walked on, taking more touristy shots along the way. We walked and walked and walked until we reached the extreme end of T1. We found a relatively deserted Pacific Coffee, so we decided that was where we shall stay. So stayed we did for about two hours. There were just enough seats for the adults while the little kids could roam and run around the vast space. Ordered many many various drinks and we tried them all. *yummm*

I've got a new favourite now, something rhumba frappe would have to compete my attention for - their Mocha Brownie Chillino. Not exactly as good as my dear ol' rhumba frappe, but pretty good nevertheless. =)

We timed our departure from the airport just nicely - or so we thought. Left at 1145, so we thought we'd reach the area of ECP near the Esplanade at around midnight and we can then catch the fireworks right? Turned out many other drivers had the same idea too. Cos at around midnight, it seemed that all the cars on the ECP came to a standstill. Not moving man! haha.. Didn't really get to see the fireworks in all its glory though, view was blocked by the trees. *boo*

Spent the Sunday just chilling at home. Met Fad for a while. And that was pretty much it. haha..

And yesterday was chill day as well. Went out with the family for a late lunch to somewhere in Bedok. Made our way to the Singapore Expo after that for the last day of the Book Sale. Certainly glad that I went cos the books were going for really cheap prices! *3 for $10!!!* Ended up buying about 18 fiction books between me and my brothers. wheeee~*

Went down to Katong Mall after that to look for a new oven for the newly-renovated kitchen. Found lotsa delish junk food at Cold Storage. Let's just say I had a bit too much ice cream that day. ;) Headed over to my granny's place after that and capped off the evening with supper at a nearby hawker centre. Even though I missed going out with the gang that night, I guess I was okay with it cos I don't think I've been spending enough time with my family.

Arghhhh gotta finish up the assignment! and 830 class again tmr! oh god pls help me!
