the year in retrospective

That would be the exact phrase to NOT describe 2005! This had been an interesting year indeed, filled with many ups and downs.
I remembered starting the year in a pretty gloomy fashion. Had broken up with Fad on new year's eve and I spent the next 3 months feeling miserable.
Met Nadz in Chinese class and I'm glad I got closer to you girl! Nadz and Nuurul were what pulled me through that semester, cos I looked forward to every Chinese lesson to talk/gossip/bitch about everything and anything.
Disappointing results that semester. Got back together with Fad so I was elated. Worked at my dad's office during the 3 months break, which took up most of my break.
Got closer to my girlfriends. yani, sya, rozzie, nydia, aisyah, elly, farah, adila! i love you guys! and to my other girlfriends too.. tuty, ida.. we must must must meet up more often this coming year!
Got much much closer to my cousins too.. Went Melbourne with Kak Shahidah, Kak rushida and Shahirah in June. Super memorable trip, with lots of amusing incidences and laughter. That was my first trip pretty far away from home without my parents. (KL doesnt count cos you dont take a plane! haha) Had to learn to be independent although we still had our older cousins to depend on..
Start of the new semester in late july. Interesting semester it had been, but the most memorable one so far. Didn't get the slots that I wanted, but stuck with it, and came out with the most amazing friendships and memories. (although one of the friendships is currently quite questionable.. far you'd know who i'm talking abt.. hahaha) Had my best results ever so that alone is enough to make it the best semester ever.
All my sistaz gone overseas to study for that semester. One in UK, another in Perth and another in New Zealand. Pretty bummed but I had the rest of my rocking girlfriends still! =) Many many memories.. going to the zoo.. siam kitchen.. farah's and hatta's birthday.. sleepover @ elly's.. =) priceless..
Super subdued Hari Raya this year, with hardly any visiting done. But Jalan Raya with the gang was a blast!
Birthday @ Escape with my girls! *hugs* the often failed surprise. just as yani's surprise yesterday didnt really turn out to be a surprise.. (and it wasnt my fault ok!!! her sis!) haha..
And the best way possible to end off the year? Our Bangkok trip! =) second time away on such a trip and it was even better this time around. No need to say much abt this cos that's all I've been blogging abt lately anyway.. haha
oooooh and I did get my tom yam noodle yesterday night. secret recipe! Went for a movie with my cousins Kak rushida, kak shahidah, kak nur and shahirah.. and had dinner at secret recipe. Which reminds me.. I still have a slice of chocolate fudge waiting for me in the fridge! yummmmmmmmmmm...
