harry potter and the pseudo doctors
haha i had actually written a post abt "guys being bastards" thing.. and i had saved it to publish for later.. but but but.. i have something more important to post! haha.. i just had the most amazing movie experience EVER! seriously! lalalalalalalala.. haha.. feeling way too happy right now.. =)and so the story goes..
my cousin, kak shahidah, is a doctor, and every now and then, Singhealth organizes these movie screenings for their staff. And so, when they decided to book a few theatres at Parco Bugis Junction for the Harry Potter: Goblet of Fire screening, my cousin went ahead to book two tickets, for her and her sister, shahirah. Alas, kak shahidah happened to be "on call" thursday night. So that's where I came in. (never one to turn down something free =p)
the movie was set for 8.45pm, but we could collect our tickets from 7pm onwards. Me n shahirah happened to be early, and unintentionally, somehow found ourselves at the front of the queue. So we got our tickets, we couldn't choose our seats though, and we ended up at row X. We both thought that row X was somewhere near the front though, so we were pretty bummed at first.
Anyway, there was a dinner spread prepared for us! A whole buffet spread! Filled with yummy goodies! like spaghetti, and chicken, shahirah's favourite smoked calamari, briyani, oat prawns, fish fillets, satay! and lotsa bite-sized pieces of deserts like fruit tarts, eclairs, cream puffs, brownies, carrot cakes etc etc.. whoa.. i was in heaven! we had actually planned to maybe eat dinner at banquet or smtg, but looking at ALL the food, we changed our mind. haha.. so we greedily helped ourselves to large servings of everything! haha!
So we were standing around at this table, and obviously almost everyone arnd us was a doctor. Cos we kept hearing bits and pieces of their conversations and it basically revolved arnd their work.
AND.. the MC kept announcing things like *to all de doctors, medical officers and registrars here, don't forget to collect your door gifts/popcorn/enjoy your dinner/have a free massage* So me and shahirah figured, heck, we shall be doctors for the night!
So presenting, doctor shahirah, and doctor mardhiati! LOL.
doctor mardhiati : so.. which hospital are u from?
doctor shahirah : KK.. u know.. i do those gynae stuff.. i deliver babies..
doctor shahirah : so, did u kill any patients today?
wahahhahahahahahaha... the two of us girls were damn extra la. all these professional twenty, thirty somethings.. milling about.. and here we were just 2 sch girls helping ourselves to free food! -_-
i din get de door gift though.. it was a cute wrist pad rest.. in the shape of a cat.. darn.. cos i wasnt thick skinned enough, and they said it was only for the singhealth staff. *boo* i shud have just demanded one for myself.. hahaha..
but we did get free popcorn and pepsi each! =)
anyway, after going off to pray maghrib, we came back and helped ourselves to a second helping of food. *haha, yes we're such greedy pigs* *oink!*
oooh, then when we went in, we were still pretty bummed abt sitting pretty near the front. so we were making our way to the front of the theater and we realised that the seats in front were REALLY really close to the screen! and we were thinking, like *darn, confirm neck ache*
buttt.. when we reached de front, we realised that.. there were no row X in front.. in fact, the first row is actually row A! which means.. that row X was right at the back! wahhahahaha so we ended up with seats right at the back! woohoo! but it wasnt too good cos we're both short and we were kinda struggling abit to see cos there was this guy with a really big head blocking our view! hahaha
but i had a great time. right cousin? de movie was great! *to me la, at least!* =) food was fantastic! and i had fun with my dear cousin! haha.. lovely lovely holidays.. =)
