i'm feeling floaty~* wheeeeee~*
The missy's back from her weekend getaway! :) The weekend was truly truly fantastic. I ate so so so so much that I'm now bloated. So I'm fasting today. I thought, "What the heck? It's a good time to fast anyway since I ate so much I'm not hungry now. hehe" yup! over 2 and a half days, I had ramlee burger, baskin robbins, hotel breakfasts, lunch at the wedding reception, starbucks rhumba frap, dunkin donuts, fish n chips, coffee bean cakes muffins and brownies, hotel breakfast again, wedding reception lunch again, and fried rice. woooohooo~*
And the food at the wedding receptions were fantabulous! Especially the reception at Sheraton, where we had desserts like cheesecake, chocolate mousse, fruit tarts, bread pudding, tiramisu, apple crumble and that's just half of it. I really felt like exploding in my dress! haha.. Never have I had so much dessert over one weekend! And the hotel breakfasts were typical Malaysian fare. You have the nasi lemak, porridge, prata, omelette, pastries and bread, sausages etc. SO you can just imagine how much I ate. =)
On top of that, I managed to squeeze in a little shopping trip to Mid Valley megamall on Saturday afternoon. Me, Kak Nur and my brothers took off in a cab to meet Kak Shahidah who was staying at Cititel there. We spent 3 hours just walking around the first floor! heh. I managed to get this short dress from Zara at a very cheap price (59.90RM!!!!!!). Im so in love with my dress now~* haha.. It was so cool cos we came at the right time. Almost everything's on sale in Malaysia now. So I got a dress from Zara for less than 30SGD. good deal eh?
Ooooooh!! One thing I loved about the whole wedding was the convoy-ing part. Many many cars, all with families going to the same destination! fuuuuuunnnn~* hehe.. 12 car convoy from the big mosque at Shah Alam to the girl's side. waaaayyyy cool. and one lost sheep along the way. haha.
And it's so nice to see everyone getting all dressed up for the wedding. Seriously, even the guys! They'll wear their baju melayus with sampings for all the receptions! In Singapore, you can hardly see that anymore. And how even the Chinese bother to dress up for the occasion. It's like, here, Chinese who go to Malay weddings normally turn up in skirts at the most. But there, they were like wearing gowns with shawls and all the trimmings! No one comes in T-shirts, which is good cos I feel that it's downright rude to attend a wedding in a T-shirt.
And I loved the formality of the events. The timeliness of everything. How everything was run. How efficient and simple, yet grand, the whole majlis was. To me, it was almost like the perfect wedding. I want mine to be like that too! hehe.. *yeah right mars, your mum will invite about what, a thousand guests and there's no way of ever keeping it simple* oh well, a girl can always dream right?
And you can also guess how much (or little) readings I managed to get done over the weekend. And how stressed/ panicked I felt when Spencer msged me yesterday afternoon to say that we have to present tutorial answers this Tuesday.
What a way to spoil the trip right. haha. Oh well, it's back to school now. First day of the week and I was already half an hour late this morning. -_- So what's new?
